About the Green Indalopreneur Marketplace

Indalo Inclusive in partnership with the Government of Flanders, Nedbank, and in association with the Mail and Guardian will be hosting The Green Indalopreneur Market Place in a World Cafe format as a method for creating a living network of collaborative engagements and  create a platform to sharing green innovations, solutions, insights and opportunities

Indalo Inclusive in partnership with the Government of Flanders, Nedbank, and in association with the Mail and Guardian will be hosting The Green Indalopreneur Market Place in a World Cafe format as a method for creating a living network of collaborative engagements and  create a platform to sharing green innovations, solutions, insights and opportunities.

The green Indalopreneur Market Place – World Cafe is a key component of the Indalo Inclusive Symposium 2023 annual flagship event, which is hosted this year under the theme “Celebrating entrepreneurial impact and presenting opportunities for partnerships towards a just, resilient, socially inclusive, and low carbon economy in South Africa” and hopes to shape the narrative around access to finance, information, tools and showcasing opportunities and impact.

About the ECSIGE & SIAGIA anchor programmes

The ECSIGE Programme aims to ensure that Climate resilience of South African rural communities is sustainably enhanced through an approach of strengthening innovative, economically viable climate-smart enterprises which makes available solutions for climate change adaptation.

 

The “Indalopreneur South African Green and Inclusive Enterprise Awards and Support Programme” (SiAGIA) which is carefully designed and drawn from reflections and inspiration from existing Indalo methods and works on a graduation incubation model, the support package includes extensive entrepreneurial skills development, mentorship and access to tools and financial support.

Who should attend this session?

Indalo invites individuals representing the CSI industry, donors, and investors in the green developing sectors. The session will provide you with a platform to showcase your company and organisation to entrepreneurs who have been incubated through Indalo Inclusive anchor programmes, the “Reaping the potential of Entrepreneurship for a Climate-Smart Inclusive Green Economy in South Africa (ECSIGE)” funded by the Government of Flanders and the “Indalopreneur South African Green and Inclusive Enterprise Awards and Support Programme (SiAGIA) funded by Nedbank. 

Participation in this exhibition space is free and offered to carefully selected companies and organisation that will bring value to both the Symposium and organisations who can provide an opportunity to entrepreneurs to be further exposed to existing opportunities for support and growth.

Indalo will provide you with an exhibition space in a designated area on the 16th of March (Day one of the Symposium) Further details will be provided once your expression of interest and registration is confirmed.

How will this session work?

The session will form part of the overall Indalo Symposium 2023 programme sessions and will start at 12:00 pm. The setting facilitates interactive exchanges, as the session is structured into two parts; the first part will allow for participants to be divided into rotating groups of 3 allowing 15 minutes and then the group must rotate to the next set of enterprises pitching their green innovation.  The first part of the session is anticipated to end at 13:00 pm.

Participants will break for lunch until 14:00 pm and then the second part of the session will continue with investors and key CSI practitioners set up in the room where they will now pitch to the enterprises on what it is they looking for in a green enterprise etc. The session will end at 15:00 pm

What does this session aim to achieve?

The Green Indalopreneur Market Place in a World Cafe will  facilitate a wide range of opinions, suggestions and experiences. In terms of practical application, the session aims to produce evidence for better communication, sharing of good practice and improved enterprise and investor market exposure within the climate and just transition landscape.
