Department of Environmental Affairs

The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) has been a strong supporter of SEED in South Africa since 2010 and has played a pivotal role in the institutionalisation of SEED in the country through the setup of Indalo Inclusive South Africa NPC. A representative of DEA is part of the global SEED Board, representing the South African government. Further is the SEED South Africa Advisory Council chaired by DEA. Indalo, SEED South Africa and DEA are strong supporters of eco-inclusive entrepreneurial initiatives to assist South Africa's transition to a low carbon, resource efficient and climate-resilient inclusive green economy.


Government of Flanders

The set-up, growth and impact of Indalo Inclusive was and is only possible through the generous support of the Government of Flanders. Flemish development cooperation makes an active contribution towards poverty reduction in Southern African.

adelphi research

adelphi research is a leading independent think tank and public policy consultancy on climate, environment and development, based in Berlin, Germany. adelphi is the SEED Hosting Partner and coordinates and implements the global SEED Programme from Germany. adelphi's mission is to improve global governance through research, dialogue and consultation. The organisation has helped set up and incubate Indalo Inclusive. Jona Liebl who is a Senior Project Manager at adelphi is our Director and Treasurer. Further do selected adelphi employees serve as Indalo Associates and are regularly deployed to our offices.



Indalo Inclusive is the official Hosting Partner of SEED Hosting in South Africa. It coordinates and implements the national SEED Programme in close liaison with the Global Hosting Partner of SEED, adelphi research. The mission of SEED South Africa is to promote entrepreneurship for sustainable development in the country and Southern Africa as a whole. 


International Labour Organization (ILO)

Indalo Inclusive is the appointed Service Provider and Hosting Organisation for the ILO SCORE Programme in South Africa. Our Managing Director Rest Kanju is the Master Trainer for the Programme in South Africa. SCORE supports enterprises to strengthen collaboration and communication between managers and workers.


Hogan Lovells

Hogan Lovells has partnerd with Indalo Inclusive through their function as Hosting Partner of SEED in South Africa. Candice Pillay who heads the ProBono Division of Hogan Lovells in South Africa is our Director and Secretary. Hogan Lovells supported the establishment and registration of Indalo Inclusive South Africa as a non-profit company and continues to provide ProBono work for legal and compliance requirements of the organisation.


The Innovation Hub

The Innovation Hub collaborates with Indalo Inclusive in respect of activities that contribute to the stimulation and support for green economy start-ups within the greater Gauteng area. Indalo Inclusive is housed at the Innovation Hub and regularly holds dialogue fora and other networking events at the facilities of the Innovation Hub.


Climate Innovation Center, South Africa

The offices of Indalo Inclusive are located at The Innovation Hub through the partnership and generous support of the Climate Innovation Center South Africa. The two organisations are partners in the work of supporting eco-inclusive and climate-smart entrepreneurship in South Africa.



Eastern Cape Development Corporation

The Eastern Cape Development Corporation has partnered with Indalo Inclusive to roll out Enterprise Development Programmes which include BDS+ Training of Trainers aimed at promoting and developing Eastern Cape enterprises to improve their sustainability and competitiveness.



Indalo Inclusive partnered with SmartXchange Durban to deliver a SEED Starter Programme for information technology innovations in the sustainable agriculture, integrated waste management and manufacturing sectors as part of the European Union supported SWITCH Africa Green Project implemented up until June 2018.


Conservation South Africa

Conservation South Africa

Indalo Inclusive and Conservation South Africa (CSA) have partnered in an idea generation, entrepreneurial course for youth leaders taking part in CSA's "Eco-Futures Programme" implemented under the Umzimvubu landscape partnership programme. In this course, Indalo capacitated the participants with tools and step-by-step processes, which covered identifying an opportunity, creating a visual prototype to founding the business.


Goethe Institute, South Africa

Indalo Inclusive facilitated the Goethe Institut Start-up! Pasch-Camp Programme in 2018 that involved 10 Pasch Schools from South Africa and Malawi. This entrepreneurship programme targeted specially high school students interested in implementing eco-inclusive business ideas and making positive impact in society.
